Trio Set

Premiere performances at West Wave Dance Festival, ODC Theater,
San Francisco,
July 30 & 31, 2005

This pure movement work was developed during a three month intensive rehearsal period with dancers Christy Funsch, Diane McKallip and Anne-Lise Reusswig.  The pace is fast moving and highly rhythmic; interweaving the stylistic strengths of each of the dancers.  A brilliant lighting design by Jack Carpenter creates a counterpoint to the movement patterns and phrasing.   The instrumental music for Trio Set is from a Bang on the Can Ensemble recording of “Lick” by Julia Wolfe, and used by permission of the composer and her publisher.
